Kitchen Dancer is a ridiculous idea and deliciously quirky play from Fringe First winner Skye Loneragan, produced by Scissor Kick.
Skye finds herself representing Scotland in the brand new 'Coping Strategies' category of the Olympic Games as a 'Registered Kitchen Dancer'. Moves must be made as she attempts to show a film crew where she trains - a cramped flat sandwiched between other situations.
Kitchen Dancer is supported by Creative Scotland and presented as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival.
Writer/Performer: Skye Loneragan
Director: Stewart Ennis
Technical Director and Lighting Designer: Roddy Simpson
Producer: Stephanie Katie Hunter
Friday 30th Octobers performance will be BSL interpreted by Rachel Amey.
Existing Show Reviews
"Loneragan is such a gifted and engaging performer, both in words and movement, that the quiet integrity of her unadorned staging finally comes to seem like a gift; in a show that talks of madness, but also of how women's lives, honestly described, always tend to defy the norms of our culture." - The Scotsman for Though This Be Madness, Skye Loneragan
"Genuinely life-affirming and hilarious to boot." - The Herald for Mish Gorecki Goes Missing, Skye Loneragan
"This is the theatre we need right now." - Corr Blimey for Walking on Eggshells, Scissor Kick
